Christmas Eve

We are sitting here watching the Nativity Story. Our tree is surrounded in tons on gifts. Earlier we ate some Asado de Puerco and tonight we are going to eat some Pozole

(Pozole is a traditional pre-Columbian soup or stew made from hominy, with pork (or other meat), chile, and other seasonings and garnish, such as cabbage, lettuce, oregano, cilantro, avocado, radish, lime juice, etc.

)

Our families are going to be here. My mom made cookie and hot chocolate and Eddie's mom made the Pozole. I can't wait until everyone arrives.

A baby

Isabel told me the other day that she wanted a baby. I told her that she would have to ask God for one. Then she replied. "Can you have a baby by Christmas?"

Noooo I don't think that's possible. Maybe next Christmas.

Learning to Spell

Isabel is learning to spell and read the cvc words.
Last night she cat, then I asked her to spell rat.

Isabel: What's a rat?
Me: A big mouse
Isabel: rat. rrrr "R" aaaaa "A" tttt "T" RAT!
Me: Good Job, that was great.
Isabel: Oh man.
Me: What?
Isabel: I don't know how to spell mouse.

We both just died laughing.
