Buckwheat

Do you remember the little rascals? I don't. But Eddie does. He says that Isabel sounds like Buckwheat when she said "ok"... it's more like " Ohhhh - Tayyyyyyyyyyyyy"

Red Tag

Just found out that we got a red tag.... we have to redo the stairs.
They had carpet in the middle and wood on the side, but Eddie had added some back on each stair for the wood work, which cause the run to be 9" instead of the required 10", so he has to tear all that out. We are just going to put carpet. Pray that I find my uncle... he doesn't have a phone, and he's the one that has to do the carpet.

Feeling Better

I feel alot better today, my nose is just a little stuffy, and I have a little bit of junk in my chest that I'm coughing up. But my pink eyes are pretty much gone, and the sinus pressure is gone, and I'm not sneezing anymore. All week I've been coming in late to work, just so I can get some rest, but not have to miss work entirely. I have a really understanding boss. Jeff if you are reading this, "Thank you". God has really blessed me this week because I was still able to get all my work done since I wasn't totally swamped. Well don't think I'm going to update this until I come back to work which will be Monday May 2. I'm going to be moving this coming week, and won't have internet connection. I think I'm switching to DSL instead of Cable. It's alot cheaper.
Hope everyone has a blessed week. Pray for us that our final inspection will go well, I think they are coming out on Tuesday. Tutalu.

Trendsetter

I bought some really cool couches, and found out a relative of mine bought the exact same ones.
I bought some cool phones and 2 relatives bought the exact same ones.
The paint of my walls is a hit too.
Does that make me a trendsetter?

Blah....

Got my car back yesterday... seemed to be running perfect, until I had Eddie drive it. He said it's still pulling a little to the right. I need to take it back in. What a pain. I feel about the same as I did yesterday. I wish I could just go to bed and not wake up until tomorrow. Don't feel like writing now, so talk to ya soon.

Torturous Day

Yesterday could have been alot better. I still have pink eye, and my van is in the shop. I called before picking it up and they guy said it was ready. When I got there to drop off my rental, they told me that I needed to keep the rental one more day, because my car wasn't ready. Toyota had been trying to get a hold of me, but couldn't because I'd left my cell phone at home. So I left and went to pick up my kids. I preceeded to go back to Toyota, because I needed to get my garage door opener. I got home, and fed the kids. By 6:00 I was feeling bad so I went to my mom's house where I knew I could get some rest, because Isabel would play with Jacob and my mom would play with Emma. So I rested sowhat, it was hard cause the kids kept screaming.
I left at 9:00. When I arrived at home, my garage door wouldn't open, what an aweful time for the batteries to go out. Of course my key wouldn't work in the front door. Didn't know what to do so I called Eddie, and he called his dad. So I waited about 8 minutes. All he did was spray some "Blaster" stuff in the key hole and the key worked. I got in and put the kids to bed and immediately went to bed. I slept in and felt a little better. I wasn't sneezing until I got to work. It's started again. Ahhhhh... I so dislike spring time.

New Shoes

I have been buying Isabel little things for her birthday, and slowly I've been giving them to her. I came to the conclusion that I don't want her birthday to be about getting a ton of presents. I figured if I give her something once a week, she'd learn to appreciate it more. Yesterday I gave her some new sandels. She loved them. She gasped at the sight of them, and immediately wanted to put them on. Everyone that came over last night, she's have to show them off to. She even went to bed and woke up with them.

Mean Mommy

The other night I tried making Isabel go to be without her chupon (pacifier). She cried and cried. It sounded like she kept saying "mean mommy, mean mommy", so I asked her "Do you want your pon pon", she nodded her head. I apologized for not being able to "find" her pon pon and gave it to her. She got right into bed and fell asleep. Maybe we'll try something else next time.

Pinky Attacks

Well it's official I have pink eye in both eyes and it's bad.... Emma had it last week, now I have it. It started Friday morning. I was hoping it was just allergies, because they were acting up, but it just got worst, and on Monday morning when I got to work, my boss encouraged me to go to the doctor. I did and I was sent home for the rest of the day. Today I got up, and it's not any better, I put my drops in yesterday, and the doctor said I could come back to work today, but now my throat is a little sore and my head is congested. I can't go home even if I wanted to, because I put my van in the shop yesterday for routine maintanence, and left my garage door opener in the van. You see the lock on my front door is broken, so I've been going through the garage. I hope I make it through today.,

Peace be with you

Could you use some peace in your life today? When your life is in turmoil and you wonder if there will ever be another peaceful day for you, open your heart to the God of peace and to Jesus, the Prince of Peace. They will envelop you in a peace that transcends understanding.
John 16: Vs 33 Jesus speaking to the disciples:
"I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world."

Mission Friends

Yesterday was a success. I'm Director of Children Missions for my church and this month our theme is "Agua Fresca"(fresh water) this comes from the verse John 7:37... If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. for 3 yrs and under they say "Jesus gives fresh water. John 3:37) . Our mission project for this month is gathering gallons of water and donating them to a local women's shelter. It is so fun preparing activities for the kids to do. We are learning about some missionaries (John and Hannah Sullivan) in South Asia (their names have been changed for protection) . Their prayer requests are that they will have the privledge to see churches planted in the country that they are in, and that they will be bold to share the gospel, and that their kids will meet special friends. Please pray for them.
I can't wait until May... The theme will be "May Flowers - Flores de Mayo"... the possibilities for activites are endless. I'm so excited.

Happy Thoughts

I could go into detail about how the enemy is attacking us, but I'm not going to waste my time. I'd rather pray. So I'll just tell you guys about the cute pictures that Emma took yesterday. I'll try to scan one in so ya'll can see it. She took one where she is wrapped in a light yellow blanket and has a yellow bow on her head, with a big smile... Then I had them take one of her in yellow bloomers on a sky blue background next to a big rubber ducky. This one I'm going to hang in there bathroom, because it's going to be blue and yellow with rubber duckies... Too cute.
Pray for Emma, she has pink eye, allergies I think.

911 to the rescue

Just wanted to remind everyone, if you see an ambulance, firetruck, or police car coming down the street with lights and sirens, you have to move over to your RIGHT hand side, so they can pass. It doesn't matter which direction they are coming from, move over. You don't know if they might turn right in front of you, or something.... This weekend we were on Greatsouthwest, which get congested bad... it has two lanes going both ways. I hear a siren, well since I was already on the right hand side I stopped and put on my hazards... the people in front of we started to go when the light turned green... idiots..... anyways that gave space in front of me... you'd think that the people on the left would pull over to the right since I was giving them space.. of course not... nimrods.... They kept going foward, causeing more of a backup... meanwhile the ambulance had given up and was trying to get on the median to drive..... Well some drivers finally came to sense and started pulling in front of me, which gave way so that the ambulance could pass.... I stayed that way because I saw the firetruck..... by the time they past there was a clear path.... the firefighter gave me a wave.... after they past me, I noticed that they were no longer lights and sirens, I guess they got disregarded... oh well.... I did what I needed to do...
Don't forget every second counts with these guys... the faster they get to a call the faster they can save a life or put out a fire.... remember always pull over to the RIGHT.

Out of touch

Sorry I haven't written in a while. Isabel got sick on Tuesday night. I had to take her to the doctor on Wednesday morning at 10:00. I was there until 12:40. Then I had to go to Radiology Assoc. to take her to get a chest xray. After that I went to Costco to fill her prescription. Then I went to pick up Emma at the baby sitters. When I arrived, I got a call from Eddie, who had been looking for me...see I left my cell phone at home. He was all panick cause the bank called and said bascially we were almost out of money... I told him not to worry cause God was in control, and all we have to do is pray, and He'd help us figure out a way to overcome this obstacle. Thursday, I went into work at 10:00 am, my babysitter was kind enough to come to my house and watch the girls for me. Friday I took the day off from work, and took the girls to the babysitters house. A friend from church came over to help me pack up the kitchen and pack up my van with alot of boxes. I then took those boxes to the new house. My Pastor and friend Noemi came over Friday night to help out. The hung doors and put door nobs on each door. The kids cleaned up outside. We had a slumber party. Me and the girls. I got home at 11:00 pm. Saturday was fun filled.... I ran errands all day. Sunday I was beat. I had to sing a special at church, teach my sunday school class, and take Isabel to a birthday party at 2:00. (Eddie was at the firestation).
It's monday now, maybe I can rest.

"Can you help me with this?"

Children enjoy helping out. It makes them feel necessary tothe family's well-being. Even a first-grader can do a good job setting the table or folding a load of towels from the dryer. Sharing chores gives children a chance to taste of life in the "real" world, and helps them see that it takes alot of effort to make a family work. When children complete chores, be sure and thank them.

This was part of an article I read. I wanted to share about the little helper at my house. Her name is Isabel. She helped me yesterday with Emma. She would say "boo" and make her laugh in the car. She played with Emma on the floor. And as I watched from afar, she would try and feed Emma applesause. I came over and said "Thank you for being such a great helper" She replied "Welcome". She is such a great helper. Even at two children are made to feel special when they know they can help out. Other things that I get her to help me with is picking up her toys, taking laundry out of the dryer, carrying my keys or phone from the car. She's my little missionary in training. Thank you Isabel for always helping me.

Not much to say...

Well I don't have much to say this morning. This weekend went by fast. Did the usual Gymboree on Saturday morning, then we went to buy our wood floors for the upstairs of the house, they are going to start installing them today. We had a cookout Saturday night.... it got cold, especially with all the wind in Cedar Hill. Sunday we had church, we ate, we had meetings, then church again.

I've got to get back into working out, I've just been so busy. Usually I would go at lunch, but now I use my lunch hour to run all my errands. Today I brought my workout clothes, so I'm going. I can't wait until they build the Walmart on Collins and RandolMill, that will make it alot easier to do my shopping at lunch.

This time change is killing me.... Hope I adjust soon..
