Just wanted to remind everyone, if you see an ambulance, firetruck, or police car coming down the street with lights and sirens, you have to move over to your RIGHT hand side, so they can pass. It doesn't matter which direction they are coming from, move over. You don't know if they might turn right in front of you, or something.... This weekend we were on Greatsouthwest, which get congested bad... it has two lanes going both ways. I hear a siren, well since I was already on the right hand side I stopped and put on my hazards... the people in front of we started to go when the light turned green... idiots..... anyways that gave space in front of me... you'd think that the people on the left would pull over to the right since I was giving them space.. of course not... nimrods.... They kept going foward, causeing more of a backup... meanwhile the ambulance had given up and was trying to get on the median to drive..... Well some drivers finally came to sense and started pulling in front of me, which gave way so that the ambulance could pass.... I stayed that way because I saw the firetruck..... by the time they past there was a clear path.... the firefighter gave me a wave.... after they past me, I noticed that they were no longer lights and sirens, I guess they got disregarded... oh well.... I did what I needed to do...
Don't forget every second counts with these guys... the faster they get to a call the faster they can save a life or put out a fire.... remember always pull over to the RIGHT.
