Tribute to Dixie

My friend Dixie lives in New Braunfels. We've known each other since I was 15 years old. She's married and has 3 kids, so consequently she says doesn't have alot of time to read my blog. (I'll make sure she reads this post)
In high school she had a book called "The Book of Questions". We would stay up hours answering all the questions in the book, week after week after week.
It was alot of fun, plus you really get to know someone by asking lots of questions. So each week I will pose a question from this book, to be commented on. Hope you have as much fun as I did answering these questions.

Question #4 (from the book)

If you could spend one year of perfect happiness but afterward would remember nothing of the experience would you do so? If not, why not?

Hmmm...great question. However, I believe that part of perfect happiness is the ability to remember and cherish the moments that are dear to you. Also, part of life is having those moments that are not so perfect. These are the times that grow us the most. Also, we have more appreciation of God's never-ending goodness.

I think I would pass, what would be the point if you couldn't remember. Memories and remembering let me momentarily escape from the realities of this crazy life.

I agree. I would pass too. What is the point of having perfect happiness if there is no memory of it? Part of happiness is the memories so it would be impossible for it to be perfect happiness.

Plus, another part of happiness is the experience of stress, pain and sadness...otherwise you wouldn't know what happiness was when you saw it and you wouldn't be able to appreciate it SO....I think I have perfect happiness right now in my life...and I'll always be able to remember it!

I love this idea. I think it's fun too!
