Making Children Mind Without Loosing Yours

I've started to read a new book by Dr. Kevin Leman, "Making Children Mind Without Loosing Yours". I can't wait until I finish it. The first line in the book reads, "Raising a child these days can be very scary." No joke, tell me about it. Chapter 4 reads, "Why Rewards and Punishment don't work"... Don't know about this one, I'll let you know when I get to it. Because right now, I can threaten Isabel with a spanking, and can bribe her with candy. Works for me. We'll see, hopefully I can learn some new techniques.
